The Limited Edition Vintage White “Jim Dandy” model G9500 flat top acoustic guitar from Gretsch. The Jim Dandy is a great, inexpensive little parlor guitar that sounds surprisingly good considering its modest price. It has a pleasantly lo-fi sound that recalls the simple entry level flat top’s of the 1940’s. The sound is woody any punchy and works well with fingerstyle and blues playing. The playability far exceeds its vintage counterparts. The "Steel Reinforced Neck" is really just a nod to the old "stencil" guitars that did not have adjustable truss rods, the Jim dandy does indeed have an adjustable truss rod. This little guitar plays really well and has some great mid-century style to boot
Faithful to the Gretsch "Rex" parlor guitars of the 1930s, '40s and '50s, the all-new G9500 Jim Dandy Flat Top parlor-style model embodies everything that was great about everyone's first guitar. Everything and then some that is, because the G9500 is crafted with select guitar woods and is fully lined and braced for warm and pleasing tone, with a 24" scale for endless hours of playing comfort.
