The 59 bridge model is great for all types of rock and blues. We designed these vintage style coils to give it an airy quality that keep this pickup planted firmly in the PAF family. The alnico 5 bar magnet, and vacuum wax potting have been added to compensate for lighter guitar strings and louder amplifiers than were ever used in the 50s. The result is a pickup with tons of old-school tonal character, but with a brighter top end, and a more compressed sound.

The Seymour Duncan SH-1 '59 Model Electric Guitar Pickup is built with the same kind of enameled wire, nickel-plated studs, and balanced coil windings that humbucker inventor Seth Lover used in his first pickups.
The two bobbins are reverse wound and reverse polarity to make the pickup humbucking. The pickups are hand fabricated and wound using traditional techniques and use classic "push back" cloth braid hookup wire. Each pickup comes with aged black covers, schematics and mounting screws.
The Black Winter is as dark and vicious as the winters in Scandinavia with excessive grime and aggression; the right balance of mids, treble and bass to instantly take you from annihilating riffs to solos with cutting articulation. The Black Winter fills the needs of extreme metal guitarists with a tone that provides crushing distortion, punishing mids and lots of aggressive saturation and string sensitivity. Neck and bridge pickups are calibrated for a balanced assault.
The Duncan Custom Trembucker is an overwound PAF style pickup that uses a small ceramic magnet and custom wound coils to deliver great responsiveness while maintaining clarity for big chords. It has a bright upper-midrange, which helps the notes jump out when playing clean, and provides great harmonic content when playing with gain. The Duncan Custom has a bright, airy, and focused drive, making it a great choice for warmer guitars with a prominent midrange.
The Duncan Distortion is our original high output humbucker. It incorporates a massive ceramic magnet and hot coil windings to deliver well-balanced rock and metal tones that have rich upper midrange harmonic content. Great for hard hitting, crunchy rhythms, and searing lead tone. Riffs are tight and percussive and lead work is fast and immediate with ultra-clear pick dynamics.
The Jazz Model neck humbucker uses an alnico 5 bar magnet and a special coil wind for an articulate, glassy treble response that balances very well with its full, but tight low end. The scooped midrange give this pickup a smooth tonal character all its own. Originally designed as the matching neck pickup for the JB Model bridge pickup, the Jazz is an incredibly versatile humbucker that will work for almost any style of music.
Designed in the early 70s, the JB Model humbucker is our most popular pickup of all time. It adds juice and versatility to the bridge position of any humbucker equipped guitar. With its hot coils, and alnico 5 bar magnet, this pickup delivers an unmistakable upper midrange attack, a tight, articulate low end, and harmonically rich highs that can really sing.
